Low Visibility Marine Mammal Detection

The Joint Industry Project (JIP) has a long history of sponsoring research and development in mitigation and monitoring. One of the projects involves the comparison of different low visibility techniques such as PAM, RADAR, SONAR, and IR cameras. Ocean Science Consulting (OSC), sponsored by the JIP, is conducting a comparison of these technologies both shore-based and on board ships.  The findings from this project will be presented at ESOMM 2024 and in future publications.
